Google Plus Not Quite Open For Business
It’s likely you have already heard of Google Plus but should your business be more than interested?
Just in case you haven’t heard of this latest social media platform from search engine giants Google, see below to get the gist of it.
Got the gist? Now, should your company have a profile on the emerging platform? Well the answer is: “probably not just yet.” Not that Google Plus hasn’t got potential - the new platform just hit 25 million users – it is the fastest growing website ever according to comSore and with the integration of the +1 feature it is going to impact on Search Engine Optimisation. Google+ just isn’t ready yet.
Signing up for a personal account is however a good idea to see how it works.
Google+ Product Manager, Christian Oestlien explains the team are busy building an experience for businesses that includes deep analytics and the ability to connect to other Google products such as AdWords. “How users communicate with each other is different from how they communicate with brands,” In addition: “The business experience we are creating should far exceed the consumer profile in terms of its usefulness to businesses” Oestlien explains.
Will Google+ outperform other social platforms? It’s hard to tell, but current growth speeds indicate faster speeds of growth than other platforms on their arrival. It’s a promising start from G+.
