Majority of Facebook Users Dislike Timeline Profile
A study conducted by IT security company Sophos found that only 8% of users actually like Facebook timeline. Whether you fall into this category or not, the once optional Timeline will be compulsory in the next coming weeks for personal users.
The profile layout, presenting a scrapbook of all of your past status updates and photographs has come under scrutiny that it invades privacy however Facebook insists only content that wasn’t previously made private will be viewable by the public.
Of the 4000 Facebook users that responded to the Sophos study:
- 51.29% are worried by the Facebook timeline
- 32.36% don’t know why they’re still on Facebook
- 8.39% guess they will get used to it
- 7.96% like it
